Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 9, 2026

1. Introduction

NullDay ("we", "our", "us") is a local-first daily accountability tracker developed by Jaimin Prajapati and published by Chaitanya Ajay Vora. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use the NullDay mobile application ("App").

We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency in our data practices. This policy complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU), California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (DPDP Act), Brazil's Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD), and other applicable privacy laws worldwide.

By installing or using the App, you acknowledge the practices described in this policy.

2. Data Controller & Contact Information

NullDay operates as a local-first application — we do not operate servers that collect or store your personal data. For the limited purposes where third-party SDKs (Google AdMob) process data, Google acts as an independent data controller.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Information Stored Locally on Your Device

NullDay is designed as a local-first application. All data is stored exclusively on your device and never transmitted to our servers:

3.2 Information Collected by Third-Party SDKs

The App integrates Google AdMob for advertising. AdMob may collect: Advertising ID (AAID), IP address, device type, OS version, network type, and general location. This data is processed by Google per Google's Privacy Policy.

4. How We Use Your Information

Local data is used solely to display your accountability question, log answers, calculate streaks, personalize greetings, and deliver notifications (if opted in). AdMob uses collected data to serve advertisements, subject to your consent.

5. Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR)

For EEA users: Consent for personalized ads and notifications; Contractual Necessity for core tracking functionality; Legitimate Interests for non-personalized ads and app maintenance.

6. Your Privacy Rights

6.1 GDPR Rights (EEA)

Access, rectify, erase, port your data, withdraw consent, or lodge a complaint with your local authority.

6.2 CCPA/CPRA Rights (California)

Know what data is collected, delete it, opt out of sale/sharing (we do not sell data), correct inaccuracies, and non-discrimination for exercising rights.

6.3 DPDP Act 2023 Rights (India)

Access, correction, erasure, and grievance redressal. Contact our Grievance Officer at jaiminadac@gmail.com — response within 24 hours.

6.4 LGPD Rights (Brazil)

Confirmation, access, correction, anonymization, deletion, portability, and withdrawal of consent.

7. Data Retention

Local data is retained until you delete it via "Delete All Local Data" or uninstall the App. AdMob retains data per its own policy.

8. Data Sharing

We do not sell or share your personal information. Data is only shared with Google AdMob for advertising, subject to your consent. No data is shared with analytics services or social media platforms.

9. Children's Privacy (COPPA, GDPR-K, DPDP)

NullDay is not intended for use by children. The App is a general-audience productivity tool and is not directed at, designed for, or targeted at children under 13 years of age (or under 16 in the European Economic Area, or under 18 in India under the DPDP Act 2023).

We do not knowingly collect, store, or process any personal information from children. Our Google AdMob integration is configured with tagForChildDirectedTreatment=false and maxAdContentRating=Teen, meaning the App does not represent itself as child-directed content to advertising networks.

If you believe a child has provided personal data through the App, contact us immediately at jaiminadac@gmail.com and we will take the necessary steps to delete such information.

10. International Data Transfers

Your local data stays on your device. For AdMob, Google may transfer data internationally using Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).

11. Security Measures

Local encryption via Android Keystore, no cloud storage, HTTPS-only communication, system certificate trust, and code obfuscation via ProGuard/R8.

12. Ad Consent & UMP Framework

We use Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to obtain consent where legally required. You can accept personalized ads, accept only non-personalized ads, or withdraw consent anytime via App settings.

13. App Permissions

14. Changes to This Policy
